EXCITEMENT is building for the Miss Solomon Islands Pageant (MSIP) as the official crowning night approaches. The grand event is scheduled for Saturday, August 24th, at the Pacific Crown Hotel, with doors opening at 5pm and the show beginning at 7pm. Tickets are still up for grabs for those eager to witness the final competition and welcome the new Miss Solomon Islands.

Tickets can be purchased at Room 42, NPF Plaza, where the office is open daily until 6:00 PM. The festivities will kick off a day earlier on Friday 23 August, starting with the Speech Competition at 10:00 AM. This will be followed by a colorful Float Parade at 2:30 PM.



Both events are free and open to the public, offering a fantastic opportunity to engage with the pageant in a more informal setting. The parade will start at the Pacific Crown Hotel and proceed through the KGVI Roundabout, Town Ground Roundabout, Central Bank Roundabout, passing King Solomon Hotel, and conclude at the museum compound. At the museum compound, a market day will be held, adding to the vibrant atmosphere.

The crowning night will feature a range of competitive categories, including Introductions, Talent, Sarong (Lavalava), Contemporary Traditional Wear, and Stage Interview. The contestant who garners the highest scores across these categories will be crowned Miss Solomon Islands 2024/25. This winner will also earn the honor of representing the Solomon Islands at the Miss Pacific Islands Pageant in Honiara from February 1 to 9 next year.
