Joker 2 aka Joker Folie à Deux released to disappointing reviews from fans and many critics. The film also didn't fare well at the box office due to mixed reviews and bad word of mouth. Many were seen calling out the film's musical theme as well as the songs, while others didn't think the film did justice to the characters of the first film in the franchise.

However, Hollywood and Bollywood in the past have been many movies which suffered with similar fate and are now some of the biggest classics of the industry. Joker and Joker 2 directed by Todd Philips and led by Joaquin Phoenix followed the story of Aruther Fleck, a DC character known as Joker in the cinematic universe. The film explores Arthur's relationship with his family, his past and society.

The first film showed Arthur turn into Joker when he shot an infamous TV show. However, when he was arrested for his act, but society turned him into Joker putting an expectation of a revolutionary but it does not go the way an ideal DC villain film would go. One of the biggest criticisms of the film included the screen time and screenplay of Lady Gaga who was cast as Harley Quinn.

The film did take some creative liberty from the OG story of both characters making it his own version of the story. However, the film was widely compared to the comic book characters and how it did not live up to their hype. Joker 2 earned just over $200 million at the worldwide box office after one month in theaters with mixed reviews from critics.
