As autumn gets well underway and people are looking forward to some cosy nights in, this grilled peaches recipe , made with cinnamon, brown sugar and drizzles of honey, is the perfect sharing platter dessert to serve up for friends or family at home. The recipe has been created by cricket legend turned grill chef, Matthew “Hoggy” Hoggard, who has collaborated with Australian wine brand Andrew Peace, to create the perfect food and wine pairings. Since retiring from cricket Matthew has turned his focus to cooking and now runs a cookery school and grill shop on the banks of the beautiful Rutland Water, where he teaches people the joys of alfresco cooking.

Madeira Marinated Grilled Peaches with Mascarpone Created by Matthew Hoggard Three whole peaches, stoned and halved 80ml mascarpone One tablespoon heavy cream One tablespoon brown sugar One quarter teaspoon ground cinnamon One tablespoon honey, warmed One third tablespoon butter, melted Half a tablespoon madeira wine Two sprigs mint Beat together the mascarpone, cream, brown sugar and cinnamon until light and fluffy and combine the honey, butter and Madeira wine. Coat the peaches, leaving a small amount of the mixture.
