Coronation Street star Liam McChenye has been flooded with praise for his 'beautiful words as he paid a moving tribute to one of his former co-stars following his sad death. The actor, who is currently known for playing Dylan Wilson in the ITV soap, previously starred alongside his twin brother Connor in Last Tango in Halifax between stints in Corrie. Liam starred in the drama alongside TImothy West, whose children announced on Wednesday (November 13) that he had died, aged 90, with his family by his side.

His children Juliet, Samuel and Joseph West said in a statement issued by his agent: "After a long and extraordinary life on and off the stage, our darling father Timothy West died peacefully in his sleep yesterday evening. He was 90 years old.
Tim was with friends and family at the end. "He leaves his wife Prunella Scales, to whom he was married for 61 years, a sister, a daughter, two sons, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. All of us will miss him terribly.
