Conjoined twins Abby and Brittany Hensel have made a rare appearance on social media, courtesy of Abby's husband. Josh Bowling , who married the now-34-year-old in 2021, changed his Facebook profile pic in September to a selfie of the three smiling together. He is wearing a gray jacket over a purple shirt while the twins sport a black top.
Josh also shared a rare glimpse into his life with the twins Oct. 2, when he posted a video of pumpkin-shaped homemade bread, captioning it, "#SourdoughSistersBread." The Hensel twins—who also include a pic of themselves with Josh on their own Facebook profile photo—rose to fame more than a decade ago as teens, when they showcased their unique life in the 2012 TLC docuseries Abby & Brittany before stepping away from the spotlight.
In March, they received renewed attention online when Abby and Josh's marriage was reported in the press. They later expressed their thoughts about being back in the public eye through several social media videos . The sisters are dicephalus conjoined twins, having born fused together at the torso.
They have separate spinal cords, brains, hearts and other organs but share the rest located below their waist. Brittany controls the left side of their body and Abby controls the right. The twins graduated from Bethel University in 2012 and have in recent years worked as elementary school teachers.
