The three-match T20 International series between India and Bangladesh currently underway clashes with the International Cricket Council (ICC) Women’s World Cup in the same version of the game. The World Cup, held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), is expected to receive more attention from the sport's followers in India, given the rapid strides that the women’s team has made in the international arena during the last few years. However, the T20 series between the national men’s team and Bangladesh will generate interest amongst those who like to track the careers of cricketers on the fringe of making it to the national side and those trying to cement their place.
