Week 11 of the 2024 college football season is in the books, and the updated Associated Press top 25 poll will be out Sunday afternoon. As an AP voter this season, I’ll be sharing my top 25 ballot week by week and giving you a peek behind the curtain as to my thought process. Here’s my Week 11 AP top 25 ballot after Penn State smoked Washington and top-five teams went down.

( Previous rankings on last week’s ballot are in parentheses.) Dropped: Iowa State (18), Pitt (19) 25. Arizona State (NR) 24.

Louisville (NR) 23. Washington State (24) 22. South Carolina (25) 21.

LSU (15) Welcome to the ballot, Louisville and Arizona State. The Cardinals were my No. 26 team last week, so they hopped in after Iowa State and Pitt lost in disappointing fashion.

Arizona State, meanwhile, is 7-2 after being picked to finish last in the Big 12. Good for the Sun Devils. LSU plummets after its no-show loss to Alabama.

Brian Kelly’s Tigers turned the ball over several times and allowed Jalen Milroe to rush for 185 yards and four touchdowns on 12 carries. LSU should be all but eliminated from CFP contention. 20.

Tulane (23) 19. Clemson (22) 18. Colorado (21) 17.

Kansas State (20) 16. Army (17) Some upward movement here after all these teams won. Colorado is the most interesting one of the group.

Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter and the Buffaloes are alone in second place in the Big 12 and control their own destiny to reach the conference title game. 15. Texas A&M (14) 14.

Boise State (13) 13. .
