 1. OHIO STATE (5-0, 2-0 Big Ten): Previous: 1. Last Week: W 35-7 vs.

Iowa. Ohio State moved the ball well against a solid Iowa defense, with its 35 points incredibly marking a season low. The Buckeye defense also continues to dominate, having allowed just 34 total points this season — but none of their previous opponents were at the level of a high-powered Oregon offense.

 2. PENN STATE (5-0, 2-0): Previous: 2. LW: W 27-11 vs.

UCLA. A fairly ineffective day on offense limited the Nittany Lions in a win over UCLA that was comfortable throughout. Penn State will head west to face the league’s other California school, a USC team which should be eager to prove itself after a stunning loss.

 3. OREGON (5-0, 2-0): Previous: 3. LW: W 31-10 vs.

Michigan State. After a couple of close contests to begin the season, Oregon has won its last three games in blowout fashion, averaging a winning margin of 25.7 points over that stretch.

The Ducks are hitting their stride at the right time ahead of a primetime clash at Ohio State this weekend. 4. INDIANA (6-0, 3-0): Previous: 7.

LW: W 41-24 vs. Northwestern. First-year head coach Curt Cignetti talked the talk prior to the season, and his Hoosiers have backed it up with their success on the field.

An Indiana program that had won seven games over the last two years now stands at 6-0, ranked in the Top 25 ahead of a bye week. 5. ILLINOIS (4-1, 1-1): Previous: 6.

LW: Bye. Losses elsewhere allows Illinois to rise after a bye w.
