ICYMI, Colin Jost recently left his post in Tahiti as NBC’s Paris Olympics Surfing Correspondent. The celeb’s latest job—on top of being and one of our fave comedians, obvi—was supposed to see him covering the highly anticipated surfing semifinals and finals, which were delayed until August 6 due to unfavorable conditions. However, after running into a buncha medical issues, Colin ultimately left the island and, according to , was replaced by Luke Bradnam, a weatherman from Channel Nine in Australia.
A reminder that on July 26 and July 29, the celeb shared snaps of his first medical issue (aka an injured foot due to a coral reef injury), writing, “This might ruin my WikiFeet score but I just arrived in Tahiti for the surfing Olympics and the reef was excited to greet me #paris2024 #showfeet” and “You know it’s going great when you’ve been to the Olympic medical tent more than any of the athletes,” respectively. Just a few days later, during a July 30 interview with NBC Olympics grandmaster Mike Tirico, the comedian then revealed he was in the midst of being treated for an ear infection..
.on top of a staph infection he developed on his foot due to the previously mentioned coral reef injury. 😭😭😭 “I woke up to discover that I had added ear infection to my growing list of ailments,” he confessed before joking, “I’m now on three different medications.
..four, if you count piña coladas.
And my new goal, by the time I leave here, is to have as many infections as there are Olympic events.” “The doctor told me that I can’t get my foot wet because of the coral reef infection, and I can’t get my head wet because of the inner ear infection. But to me, that doesn’t mean my torso and waist can’t still enjoy the pool,” he hilariously added.
