Coleen Nolan Eamonn and Ruth Coleen Nolan has applauded her pal Ruth Langsford for her “dignity and pride” in the wake of her marriage split from Eamonn Holmes. Coleen also said she had weighed in with some advice for her Loose Women co-star, who has reportedly engaged the services of top divorce lawyer, Catherine Costley, after her shock split from Holmes in May. Coleen was full of praise for Ruth, who she said, she keeps in touch with “all the time”.

“She's back at work now, which is great because I really missed her,” Coleen said in a new interview in the Mirror. “I don't want to say too much because it's not my business to say, but what I will say from a friend's point of view is I've never met anyone that has handled something with so much dignity and pride.” Coleen added: "She's just such a lady, more of a lady than I'll ever be.

“I would've spilled my guts right now as I do, that's my problem, I say too much. She's been absolutely amazing, she really has.” Adding that Ruth was doing well and had stayed "strong" through the break-up, Coleen told Woman magazine: "I've given her advice but she doesn't listen to me.

Eamonn and Ruth “I'm going, 'How can you not say anything?' But I don't need to give her advice. "We send each other lovely memes and I'll send her messages about staying strong and I'll always send her a text asking how is she today or how she is doing. “I just love her and I'm in awe of how she's handled everything.

She's so elegant and fabulous." Ruth was off-screen for several months following her split from Eamonn but returned to Loose Women in July. She opened her first show by announcing to the audience: "Welcome to your first Loose Women of the week, it's great to have your company.

” Her co-star Coleen then added: "Can I just say, I am so, so happy you are back." Holmes is set to move in with Katie Alexander with the pair reportedly planning to relocate from his rented flat in south west London months after his split from Ruth. According to sources close to Ms Alexander, a 42-year-old relationship therapist, the pair want to “move into a bigger place” together.

The 64-year-old Northern Irish GB News presenter and Ms Alexander have been enjoying a luxury holiday to the Mediterranean, where they were snapped arriving in Barcelona. Holmes was seen driving a mobility scooter through the terminal while Katie pushed their luggage and a walking frame and they were also seen laughing and joking with other cruise passengers at Barcelona Port. Speaking to The Sun, the source said: “Katie’s assured him she's in it for the long haul and they’re both settling down nicely.

“They’ve been spending so much time at his Kingston flat that they’re even looking to move in together permanently. It has been reported that Ruth knew little about their friendship with Katie spending more time with Eamonn in recent months. Speaking at the TRIC awards in June, Eamonn said: "I'm not OK.

This is not a good time at all." When asked about whether he and Ruth will continue to have a relationship of any kind, Eamonn added: "It's too early to say but I hope we can still be friends." Eamonn and Ruth met in 1997 when they were introduced by mutual friends.

They then dated for over a decade before they were married in 2010. However, before the split they had not been photographed together for two years. Join the Irish Independent WhatsApp channel Stay up to date with all the latest news.
