Coldplay is sympathising with the German Swifties. During a recent Coldpaly concert in Düsseldorf, Germany, on Saturday, July 20, Coldplay’s Chris Martin sung the heartbreak song ‘Everglow.’ But here’s the catch, he just didn’t sing the song as a part of his concert but dropped a few words before starting the song which made the whole stadium scream out of joy.

Chris Martin before signing Everglow at Coldplay’s show in Düsseldorf tonight! “This is for Taylor Swift, because she left town - this is for all of you who feel sad today because Taylor had to go to the next city! We sing this love song and send it to Taylor wherever she is” — kaia (@kaiamal13) The viral video shows Martin singing for Taylor. He sat by the piano and said, “This is for Taylor Swift, because she left town.” The singer honoured Taylor Swift by singing the song and further added “This is for all those who feel sad today because Taylor had to go to another city! We sing this love song and send it to Taylor wherever she is.

” This sweet gesture came after Taylor left the neighbuoring town of Gelsenkirchen to continue her Eras Tour. The audience reciprocated to the move by filling the stadium with screams of joy. And something happens about Taylor and Swifties don’t react? That’s impossible.

This move by Martin made Swifties take X (twitter) by storm. Fans are not shying away from obsessing over Martin. im so sick of living in a world where taylor swift and coldplay haven’t collaborated yet.

— kimani🥂 (@onthattightrope) One user writes “This is extra heartwarming in such contrast with that small man,” while another user wrote “He’s so smart & sweet at the same time! I think I love him a little bit more with every thing I see about him.” Adding to the trend another user writes “That's how it's done. There is a certain old man that should be taking notes.

” Taylor Swift also took to Instagram and expressed gratitude to German Swifties acknowledging their creative tribute during her performance. Taylor wrote "Those 3 Gelsenkirchen crowds were AMAZING, and so thoughtful???" Swift added, "There were signs and paper hearts, the 'Betty' wave, and tons of DIY 'willow' orbs made out of balloons + phone flashlights. Thank you!!!” We guess, Swifties have a new obsession now.
