Pakistani Singer Haniya Aslam contributed to some of the country’s most iconic music projects, including the immensely popular Coke Studio. The heartbreaking news was confirmed by her cousin and musical partner, Zebunnisa Bangash, who shared the announcement on social media.

The duo had gained widespread acclaim through their performances on Coke Studio Pakistan, particularly for their hit song “ On August 12, Zebunnisa took to Instagram to honor Haniya’s memory, sharing several pictures along with the heartfelt caption, “Hanini.” The post quickly garnered an outpouring of condolences from fans and friends. One commenter expressed, “What an immense loss! She was a beautiful and talented soul.



She will forever be missed. May Allah grant her soul eternal peace and give you and your family the strength to endure this loss.” Another wrote, “Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun.

Your names will always be linked in music and memory. Sending so much love.” Haniya, originally from Karachi, began her musical journey with an education in the USA and the UK.

In 2014, she made the significant decision to leave the duo Zeb-Haniya, which had brought her widespread recognition, and relocated to Canada to further her studies. During her time in Canada, she continued to pursue her passion for music, building a successful solo career and honing her skills as a musician, producer, engineer, and composer. May her soul rest in peace.
