The duo had gained widespread acclaim through their performances on Coke Studio Pakistan, particularly for their hit song “ On August 12, Zebunnisa took to Instagram to honor Haniya’s memory, sharing several pictures along with the heartfelt caption, “Hanini.” The post quickly garnered an outpouring of condolences from fans and friends. One commenter expressed, “What an immense loss! She was a beautiful and talented soul.
She will forever be missed. May Allah grant her soul eternal peace and give you and your family the strength to endure this loss.” Another wrote, “Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun.

In 2014, she made the significant decision to leave the duo Zeb-Haniya, which had brought her widespread recognition, and relocated to Canada to further her studies. During her time in Canada, she continued to pursue her passion for music, building a successful solo career and honing her skills as a musician, producer, engineer, and composer.
