CoD: Black Ops 6 Zombies - Best Augments For Perks
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies features plenty of classic Perk-a-Colas that help strengthen you for the fight against the endless horde. The game's new augment system helps make you even more powerful, but some augments are more beneficial than others. Here we'll guide you through the best perk augments to use in BO6 Zombies. How Augments work in ZombiesAugments are passive perks that you can equip for minor or major buffs to your selected perks, ammo mods, and field upgrades. The most useful Augments to focus on unlocking are the Perk-a-Colas Augments. If you're just starting out, you won't have access to these upgrades right away. Augment Research is unlocked once you reach level 11, and then you can pick and choose which upgrades you want to focus on.To start researching an Augment, you simply need to select augment in the Research menu and start earning XP in-game to make progress toward unlocking it. The game doesn't tell you how much XP is needed to unlock each Augment, but the first seems to unlock after several thousand XP, while the final Augment for each perk seems to take several hundred thousand. Each Perk-a-Cola has two available Augment slots: one for a major Augment and one for a minor Augment. Our list below includes the best major and minor Augments to equip for each Perk-a-Cola. Jugger-NogAlone, Jugger-Nog will increase your maximum health by 100, but the right Augment can make it much more powerful.Best major AugmentThe best major Augment is Reactive Armor, which stuns enemies for a short time after an armor plate breaks. This is the last major Augment you unlock for Jugger-Nog, so if you don't have this unlocked yet, I'd recommend starting by equipping the first major Augment you unlock called Probiotic. This will slightly increase the maximum health you receive with Jugger-Nog and benefit you until you unlock Reactive Armor. At first glance, Turtle Shell sounds like a great choice for a major Augment, as it makes armor act as a shield on your back, completely absorbing damage originating behind you. But this leaves you vulnerable to damage when hit from the front and sides. I find this perk actually makes you more likely to get downed by Zombies, and I definitely wouldn't suggest this Augment for high rounds or boss fights.Best minor AugmentFor the minor Augment, Hardened Plates is the best option, as this gives your armor plates more damage mitigation. Speed ColaOn its own, Speed Cola increases your reload and armor replating speed by 30%.Best major AugmentThe best major Augment to use for Speed Cola is Classic Formula for even faster reload speed.Ammo can get sparse in later rounds, so Phantom Reload sounds like it would be a great Augment to use, as it claims that your weapon magazines are slowly refilled over time. This Augment is either broken, or it just refills at such a slow rate that it's not even beneficial. I watched for a few minutes, and this never added any ammo to my magazine.Best minor AugmentThe best minor Augment for Speed Cola is Fast Pitcher. This lets you deploy your equipment faster, so this can be life saving when you need to toss out a decoy or Monkey Bomb to save yourself or a teammate in a pinch. Quick ReviveOn its own, Quick Revive reduces the health regen-delay time by 50%. It also reduces the time it takes to revive an ally by 50%.Best major AugmentThe best major Augment for Quick Revive is Dying Wish. With this equipped, instead of taking a lethal hit, you'll instead become immune to all damage for two seconds and keep one health. This is a powerful buff to add to Quick Revive, but note that it does remove the Quick Revive perk once the ability is activated. Then, you'll need to repurchase Quick Revive.Best minor AugmentThe best minor Augment is Swift Recovery, as reviving an ally will increase both you and your teammate's movement speeds for a short time. This lets you revive and try to make a swift getaway. PhD FlopperBy itself, PhD Flopper provides you with Immunity to all self-inflicted damage and status effects. The dive to prone action triggers an explosion, which increases the higher you fall. Immunity from fall damage is also provided while diving into prone position.Best major AugmentThe best major Augment for this perk is PhD Slider, which will allow you to slide into enemies to trigger explosions.Best minor AugmentThe best minor Augment is Tribologist. This pairs great with PhD Slider and the game's overall movement, as this increases both your sliding distance and speed. The combination of these two Augments is helpful for taking out hordes of zombies, or if you find you're about to get trapped, just slide into the oncoming enemies to take them out. Stamin-UpBy itself, Stamin-Up increases your movement speed.Best major AugmentThe best overall major Augment for Stamin-Up is Dasher, as this perk increases your tactical sprint duration. It pairs really nicely with the movement benefits from PhD Flopper's recommended Augments, as well.If you're like me and more focused on grinding Mastery camos, consider using the Stalker Augment instead. This will allow you to walk faster while aiming. This helps you get the critical kills you need for those camo challenges.Best minor AugmentThe best minor Augment for Stamin-Up is Hot Foot, which gives you a speed boost after your equipment kills an enemy. Deadshot DaiquiriBy default, Deadshot Daiquiri will move your aim to an enemy's critical location when aiming-down-sights. It also increases critical damage to enemies.Best major AugmentThe best major Augment for Deadshot Daiquiri is Dead First, which deals double critical damage if an enemy is at full health. This is great for the camo grind and an overall powerful Augment to use.Best minor AugmentThe best minor Augment is Dead Break, as this will allow you to deal increased damage to armor pieces. This Augment is so useful in high rounds, as each level past round 20 is filled with armored zombies and Mangler enemies. Elemental PopBy itself, Elemental Pop gives every bullet you fire a small chance to apply a random ammo mod effect.Best major AugmentThe overall best major Augment for Elemental Pop is Electric Cherry, as reloading creates an electric damage discharge that damages and stuns nearby normal enemies. The emptier your magazine, the stronger the damage will be. This is great for regular matches and high-round attempts. The best major Augment for attempting Easter eggs is Citrus Focus. This lets you control what ammo mod is used on your guns. If your weapon has an ammo mod applied, Elemental Pop will only activate that one when using Citrus Focus. There's nothing worse than trying to keep a zombie alive for a complex Easter egg step, and you or a teammate accidently brain rots the last zombie left with Elemental Pop, thus ending the round.Best minor AugmentThe best minor Augment is Vulnera Bean, which slightly increases enemy elemental weakness damage. This is great to pair with Napalm Burst for use against all the Manglers and Abominations in high rounds. Melee MacchiatoMelee Macchiato is the only new Zombies perk introduced in Black Ops 6. By default, this replaces your weapon gun butt with a powerful punch that sends enemies flying.Best major AugmentThe best major Augment for Melee Macchiato is Expresso. This Augment makes all melee attacks slightly faster. This definitely feels needed for melee weapons as the melee animations in Black Ops 6 Zombies feels often slow and a bit risky.Best minor AugmentThe best minor Augment feels like a toss up here based on your preference. Use either Strength Training to make your punches one-hit kill normal enemies for longer, or Hidden Impact to have your melee kills reload a portion of your held weapon's ammo. Either can be a good choice when using Melee Macchiato. For more Black Ops 6 Zombies guides, make sure to check out our full guide for the Liberty Falls main quest.
