Irish resorts fared well in Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards 2024 , which were revealed on Tuesday, October 1. Condé Nast Traveler said more than 575,000 votes were cast by readers in its 37th annual Readers Choice Awards survey. Overall, Ireland came in ninth in the Best Countries in the World category , landing right behind New Zealand and right before Greece.
In the Best Small Cities in the World category , Galway, in the west of Ireland, landed in eighth place, right ahead of Puerta Vallarta in Mexico and right after Porto in Portugal. But it was Ireland’s resorts that made a strong showing in the Top Resorts in Europe category , where seven Irish resorts were included in the top 25. Here are the Irish resorts named among the Best in Europe in the Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards 2024: "A stately manor house on hundreds of acres, a raging river, and a picture-perfect adjacent village," reviewer David Jefferys wrote, adding "there seems to be a bit of something for everyone here, and all without a lick of pretense.
