1 2 Prayagraj: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will visit Prayagraj on Oct 6 to oversee the preparations for Maha Kumbh 2025 and also formally announce the dates of the major baths of the mega religious event. The CM will also hold a meeting with seers of all 13 akharas and release the logo of Maha Kumbh. Administrative officials said during the review meeting the proposal to remove words like 'Shahi' and 'Peshwai' will also be placed before the CM.

The proposed meeting with seers assumes significance as the two factions of the Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad (ABAP) would be coming together for the first time ever since the apex decision making body of seers was divided into two groups following the death of the then ABAP president Mahant Narendra Giri. Sources said along with this, the proposal for the settlement of akharas in the fair area, their arrangements, their needs, and possible construction may also be approved. Officials said the logo of Maha Kumbh, which will be released by the CM, may include images of seers, a temple, a Kalash, and Ganga.



Along with this, there could be a message conveying the grandeur of Maha Kumbh. The CM may also perform Ganga Pujan for which authorities have started making preparations. As the flood waters have started receding, the work of cleaning the Parade ground has also started.
