The Milwaukee Bucks, led by Damian Lillard, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Doc Rivers, are off to a horrid start to the season. They beat the shorthanded Philadelphia 76ers and then fell to the Chicago Bulls, Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics in embarrassing fashion. The Bucks gave up massive games to all the backcourt players they faced, and it's clear that their defense needs work, especially on the perimeter.

Currently 2-1, assuming Kawhi Leonard's injury recovery takes a while, Los Angeles will barely be holding onto a playoff spot. With limited draft picks after trading for Paul George in 2019, the Clippers could use any talent they can get, especially to complement James Harden. While Kris Dunn is not the end-all-be-all solution to the Bucks' defensive woes, he is a solid perimeter defender who can lock down some of the better players in the NBA.

The Clippers could send Dunn and Amir Coffey to the Bucks in exchange for Pat Connaughton, a career 35.7% 3-point shooter who could provide a spark off the bench or space the floor for Harden to drive. This is a small deal that wouldn't solve the Bucks' culture issues , but it would address an area of need before the rest of the season slips away.
