The cause of death for Christina Sandera, the long-term partner of Clint Eastwood , has been revealed days after her passing. Sandera, 61, had been in a relationship with the 94-year-old Hollywood actor for over a decade. On July 18, Eastwood confirmed her death in a tragic statement , reading: "Christina was a lovely, caring woman, and I will miss her very much.

Her death certificate listed the immediate cause of death as cardiac arrhythmia, which causes irregular heartbeats. An additional condition listed on her death certificate was atherosclerotic coronary artery disease, a condition where plaque builds up in the artery walls, potentially leading to a blood clot, heart attack, or stroke.



Eastwood and Sandera maintained a private relationship but began dating in 2014. They reportedly met when she worked as a hostess at Eastwood's Mission Ranch Hotel and Restaurant in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. DON'T MISS.

Both Eastwood and Sandera resided in Carmel, where Eastwood served as mayor for two years after his election in 1986. They made their first red carpet appearance together in 2015 at the 87th Academy Awards. In the year of the Oscars, American Sniper was nominated for six awards, including Best Picture and Best Actor.

The film, directed and co-produced by Clint, starred Bradley Cooper and won an Oscar for Best Sound Editing. Christina accompanied Clint to various other red carpet events, including The Mule (2018), The 15:17 to Paris (2018), and Richard Jewell (2019). They were also spotted together at the Cannes Film Festival.

Prior to his relationship with Christina, Clint had been married twice. His first marriage was to model Maggie Johnson in 1953, which ended in separation in 1964 and official divorce in 1984. He then married Dina Ruiz in 1996, and they divorced in 2014.
