Jane Chesnut’s paintings, like this one, emphasize the color and texture of paint and her subjects. Chesnut Ten Clements Noyes Art Gallery artists will exhibit their latest work from 5-8:30 p.m.

at a Third Friday event Aug. 16 at 119 S. Ninth St.



The event promises eye-popping color and variety. At 7 p.m.

, a livestream of the opening will broadcast on the gallery’s Facebook page. The event will feature the work of Clements Noyes artist Jane Chesnut. A painter, Chesnut loves to explore the color, textures and patterns of the medium, especially in flowers and figures.

Other artists to be featured at the event are Kevin Baker (painting and sculpture), Joni Brown (painting), Heather Duckers (painting and mixed media), E Elder (painting and illustration), Lynette Fast (jewelry and mixed media), Maryellen Fulton (mixed media), Janna Harsch (painting), Cindy McClellan (wall sculpture) and Lou Sylvan (painting). While at the event, guests are encouraged to check out the gallery’s upcoming workshops, including the “Make your Own Halloween Mask” workshop set for Saturday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.

m.-2 p.m.

Clements Noyes artist Curtis Adams will lead a class to make unique masks from recycled materials. Participants will learn to use templates to create a 3D mask. Then they will paint, draw designs and decorate the mask.
