Thane: Four days after the vandalism at the Badlapur school , the school on Saturday partially resumed classes for students from Class 5 to Class 12. From Monday, classes are expected to resume smoothly for all sections, including the college. Following the vandalism, the school education minister dismissed the school's administrative body and appointed Kunda Pandit, deputy education officer of Thane district, as its administrator.

Pandit began work on Thursday and on Friday late night decided to partially open the school. Late-night messages were sent to parents about the reopening. A parent who had come to take his son back from school said, "My son said very few students had attended class.
