's deadpan exchanges with his Cotswold farming mate Kaleb Cooper, as they quibble over tractors, muck-spreading and lucrative ventures at Diddly Squat Farm, have won the hearts of millions tuning into the popular TV series Clarkson’s Farm. Away from the small screen, 26 year old Cooper, the young agricultural contractor who was thrust into fame during the show’s inaugural 2021 season, asserts there's genuine warmth and teamwork between them. The resident treasures their bond, saying, "I consider him (Clarkson) as a best mate.

" Cooper has now penned his third book titled 'It’s A Farming Thing,' which is partly autobiographical, partly humorous, exploring various life themes like agriculture, food, and fashion. More poignantly, he writes about how farming became his salvation after enduring the challenging divorce of his parents at age 12. While his younger sibling Kieron moved in with their father, a carpenter, Kaleb remained with his mother who started her own mobile dog grooming service, prompting him to mature swiftly.

“My mum and dad split up and that’s the reason I’m the person I am today. My mum was struggling to pay the rent, so therefore I stood up and went, ‘I’m going to be the man of this house, help you pay the electric, gas and part of the rent and if you need money for petrol, I’ll pay for that as well’. “It made me think outside the box and become entrepreneurial.
