com/dkS7CJQ0pX — Max (@StreamOnMax) August 13, 2024 Civil War will start streaming on September 13, while I Saw the TV Glow arrives a week later on the 20th. Civil War, which hit theaters in April, follows war journalists traveling to a dystopian Washington D.C.

to interview the president before rebels claim the city in the midst of a civil war. We gave it a 9 in our review , calling it a "thrilling, heart-pounding movie about the importance of journalism in times of conflict, about how easily we become desensitized to violence when we're living through it." Later, we described it as "a great deal more skeptical of itself and its characters than it has gotten credit for.

" I Saw the TV Glow also received an IGN 9 ahead of its theatrical run that started in May. The film, widely seen as an allegory for being transgender , tells the story of two high school students who begin to question reality after their favorite TV show is canceled. We called it an "earnest personal statement wrapped in a surreal art-horror movie" in our review.
