Vadodara: A city survey superintendent in Godhra was arrested by the anti-corruption bureau ( ACB ), allegedly while accepting a bribe to make entries for properties sold by a resident of the town. A trap to nab the superintendent, Babu Maliwad, was laid on Thursday based on a complaint by a person who had approached Maliwad on multiple occasions for entries of residential and commercial properties. Maliwad took Rs 8,000 as a bribe from the complainant and was caught red-handed while doing so.

The complainant alleged that Maliwad had demanded a Rs 15,000 bribe to make entries of a flat in property documents. The complainant gave Maliwad Rs 7,000 and promised to pay the remainder later. The complainant didn’t want to pay the remaining Rs 8,000 and approached the ACB.
