THE CITIES that have the "least attractive" and the "most attractive" accents in Scotland have been revealed. Experts at Netflix surveyed 2,000 people about their opinions on a range of different accents across the UK. 1 Love Is Blind UK – Netflix Credit: NETFLIX It comes as Love is Blind recently aired the first five episodes of the new UK series, according to the Daily Record.
As a result, the streaming giant embarked on a mission to find the "sexiest" accents up and down the country. The questionnaire was conducted by Perspectus Global and was sent out to members of the public last month. And it revealed that most viewers considered the Glaswegian accent to be the least sexiest Scottish accent.

It ranked fourth in the overall rankings of the least sexiest accents across the UK and Ireland . It only narrowly beat the Georgie accent, which was ranked as the third-worst.

Responding to the questionnaire, viewers revealed that they liked the soft 'r' sounds as well as the strong 'ch'. Despite it being named as the most attractive in Scotland, it only came in fourth in the overall rankings.
It was beaten by Cockney and Welsh accents which came in second and third, respectively. But it was the Dublin accent that took the crown for being the sexiest across the UK. Around 58 per cent of responders ranked the Irish accent high on the list, with many saying they are drawn to the emphasised 'r' sounds.
ACCENT REVELATIONS THE survey also revealed that almost two thirds of responders have been attracted to someone just because of their accent. A total of 59 per cent of people have got hot under the collar after hearing a person's voice without paying attention to what they look like. And 81 per cent of people revealed they would even stay with a person who had an "irritating" accent if they were physically attracted to them.
Reflecting on the premise of Love is Blind, 72 per cent of people claimed they think they could fall in love with someone only by hearing their voice and not knowing what they look like. However, 87 per cent of people admit to painting a picture of what they think a person looks like after speaking to them on the phone or texting them. The questionnaire also revealed that while 49 per cent of people think regional accents are attractive, eight per cent don't think they are.
