Companies that receive a VPP Star designation have achieved injury and illness rates at or below the national average for their respective industries and have developed robust programs for controlling workplace hazards. These include hazard control, safety training, jobsite analysis, and management leadership and worker involvement.
During the presentation, Brent Witthuhn, the Joplin location’s Manager, accepted the honors on behalf of the team. “We are truly honored to be recognized with this prestigious achievement,” said Witthuhn. “This accomplishment would not be possible without our employee-partners dedication and care for one another.
Earning VPP certification requires an ongoing commitment to safety, before and after receiving this designation. We’ll continue to strive for better and improve our culture of safety.” OSHA established.
