22, she shared that following the accident, she and the bus company had agreed that they would cover all hospital expenses. Despite the agreement, the bus company has only contributed around P5,000 to the hospital bill which has already soared to nearly P500,000. This has caused Gemma significant concern as the medical expenses continue to mount, leaving her uncertain about how the bus company will uphold their promise.
Senator Pia Cayetano said negligence might also be a factor in the case. She noted that it was possible the e-bike was not allowed on the road where the accident occurred, which could raise questions about compliance with traffic regulations. Giving legal advice, Senator Alan Peter Cayetano said the party at fault in an accident should generally be held accountable for the expenses.
