Following a highly successful staging in 2023, the Streetz Festival is set to reignite the National Stadium Car Park as the event returns on August 24. The event is scheduled to be headlined by St Thomas-born dancehall star Chronic Law. Event director Chad Williams said that having gained significant momentum on the performance trail over the last year, Chronic Law was the perfect main act for the 2024 staging of Streetz Festival.

"Chronic Law was the right choice for this staging of Streetz. He is a heavyweight in dancehall right now and represents the 'streetz' in a big way," he said. "Last year, the headline act was Masicka.

Also performing were the likes of Popcaan, Lila Ike, Jahshii and a number of other acts, with a turnout of more than 7,000 patrons. This year, we intend to improve the quality of the staging and bring Jamaica's authentic street festival back in a big way." According to Williams, patrons can expect "a lot of energy, a unique performance from Chronic Law, and as is customary from Streetz [Festival], a lot of surprises".

"We want to showcase Jamaican culture in a safe, authentic way. This year, we are introducing our 'Streetz Village', a collection of food options, clothing and local craftsmen showcasing Jamaican products," he said. "It will be an all-round event that is guaranteed to deliver the highest quality of entertainment.

" After recently receiving his US visa, Chronic Law is set to make a number of appearances in that country, before returning home for the Streetz Festival. He is also set to perform at Red Cups Miami at the end of the month..
