LAGOS – It was indeed a joyful occasion when on Wednesday December 18, 2024, the Christian Fellowship of the Independent Newspapers Limited (CNL) hosted the staff to a Christmas Carol Service. The event, held at the company’s corporate headquarters in Ogba, Lagos, kicked off by 12 noon with an opening prayer by Pastor Mrs Iseghe Ajayi, Deputy Head, Business and Marketing Intelligence Unit. The service attracted the staff and management of the company, including Editors, managers of different cadres, Editorial, Advertisement, Administrative Sections, etc.

The service, coordinated by Mr Segun Abisoye, the Online Editor, featured a visiting choir, ‘The Voice of Heaven Choir of Peniel Church Of the Universe’, Lagos, which incidentally is led by one of the INL’s Graphic Artists, Mr Brown Clement. The visiting choir led the attendees in scintillating praise and worship, ushering in the Holy Spirit in an angelic fashion as the staff sang, danced and clapped in unison. The group’s State House Correspondent, Victoria Ojugbana, took the first Bible Reading from Matthew 1: 18 – 25, after which the workers sang a set of popular Carol songs, which included ‘O Come All Ye Faith’.



This was followed by the second Bible reading, taken by the Editor, Sunday Independent, Austin Oboh. He took the reading from Matthew 2: 1 -11. This was followed by another popular Carol song, ‘Silent Night’.

Also, Mr Brown Clement took the gathering on a soul searching journey with his speci.
