CHICAGO, IL-Christine Ellen Denney (nee Driscoll), age 65, of Chicago, Illinois (formerly of Northwest Indiana), passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side on Sunday, August 4th, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Denney, parents, Timothy and Dorothy Driscoll Sr.; brother, Francis 'Mick' Driscoll; sister, Eleanor 'Ellen' Driscoll; maternal grandparents, Francis and Eleanor McCrea; and brothers-in-law, Harold 'Tom' Tolbert, Darrell (late Leslie) Denney and Jim Holcomb.

Affectionately known as Tina, she was born on October 22nd, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Timothy and Dorothy Driscoll. Tina was one of nine siblings and had many adventures, such as traveling and camping as kids. Those adventures continued in life and also included fishing, demolition derby, racing, and some international travel.



She was an avid WWE fan, a NASCAR fan more specifically, of Jeff Gordon. She also enjoyed playing bingo, and loved to crochet, making many beautiful blankets for family and friends to cherish. Tina was known for her kindness, compassion, unstoppable energy, witty humor, and sense of adventure.

Despite the medical challenges she faced throughout her life, she was an inspiration to all with her never-ending strength. She loved living life and making memories with family and friends; her outgoing personality allowed her to make new friends no matter who they were or where she was. She had a special bond with all and loved being a grandma.

Tina is survived by her sons and caregivers: Shawn Grauvogl and Fabian Chavez, she also had one daughter, Elisabeth Grauvogl. Her grandchildren include Braden (Priscilla), Faithlynn, Camden, Jeremiah, and Easton. She is also survived by her siblings: Kathy (Leroy) Thompson of Sumpter, OR; Margo (Larry) Schlesser of Cove, OR; Danny (Tammy) Driscoll of Wheatfield, IN; Dorothy 'Dee' Tolbert of Fayetteville, NC; Timmy (Sherry Pressley) Driscoll of Portage, IN; and Mary (Steve) Novath of North Judson, IN; sister-in-law, Sandra Holcomb; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins who loved her dearly, as well as her former husband and friend, Michael Grauvogl.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024 beginning at 3:00 PM followed by a Funeral Service at 7:00 PM at HILLSIDE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER, 8941 Kleinman Road (one block south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN.
