'I think I did, like, 52 [push-ups] at that time,' Slater said. 'I could have kept going, but I didn't want to embarrass everyone.' He clarified that he did all 52 push-ups 'all in one shot,' and joked that the prize he won was an 'ego boost, really.



' '[It was] just a wonderful feeling that I just kicked Magic Mike's a**,' Slater told People. 'It was great.' The Pump Up the Volume star – who welcomed a son with wife Brittany Lopez earlier this year — further opened up about the mood on set of Blink Twice in an interview with Collider.

He said Kravitz 'came in and just had a natural ability' to direct. 'And like he was saying, she allowed us to experiment, to have a lot of fun. So that was the experience.

There wasn't anybody there with a strong fist,' he added. 'It was a loose, fun, party kind of atmosphere, but when there were serious scenes that we had to do, she really took the time for everybody to sit around and talk about it and discuss,' he explained. He added that Kravitz would get the cast in the mood by saying, '"These are important scenes to service the story, but let's talk about how we feel about doing these scenes, and how can we make each other feel as safe as possible.

"' The film stars, in addition to Slater and Tatum, Naomi Ackles, Geena Davis , Simon Rex, Adria Arjona, Haley Joel Osment, Alia Shawkat and Kyle MacLachlan. The Heathers actor also revealed the last time he was superstitious. 'At the Biltmore Hotel in Miami, our room was on the 13th floor.

They said it was haunted, and I was like, “Please. Give me a break. I’m going to stay here and I’m going to be just fine,"' he told People.

'But there were noises in the middle of the night, doors flying open. I had this horrendous nightmare,' he explained.
