Transformers One which hit theaters yesterday, is a groundbreaking addition to the Transformers universe. Not just another robot battle spectacle, this film is the first fully CG-animated entry in the franchise. It delves into the origins of two legendary characters: Optimus Prime and Megatron.

Now, we all know them as fierce rivals, battling it out over the fate of the universe, but would you believe if we say they used to be friends? In fact, according to the movie’s synopsis, they were so close they were practically brothers – until everything changed. This story, which shows how their friendship shaped the destiny of Cybertron, has become one of Paramount Animation’s highest-testing films ever. As soon as the animated film premiered, the voice cast wasted no time encouraging fans to check it out.



Scarlett Johansson and Chris Hemsworth teamed up on Instagram with a fun reel, excitedly saying, “Hi, what’s up everyone? Guess what? Transformers One is in cinemas right now. What are you waiting for?" The caption of Chris’s post read, “It’s in cinemas right now!! Transformers One. Get your tickets this weekend!" “Natasha and Thor didn’t have any conversation with each other in the 16 years of the MCU," wrote a viewer in the comments section. “We got Natasha and Thor together," said another one. Chris Hemsworth, who lends his voice to Optimus Prime in the film, had earlier shared his excitement about exploring a new side of the legendary leader with ScreenRant.

“Well, the Optimus that we’ve known previously in the cartoons, in the films, has this consistent, eternal blind optimism and an incredible sense of hope," Hemsworth explained. “What interested me was the fact that we get to see where that comes from," he said. The official IMDb description of the new film teases, “The untold origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron, better known as sworn enemies, but once were friends bonded like brothers who changed the fate of Cybertron forever.

In addition to Chris Hemsworth as Optimus Prime, it has got Brian Tyree Henry as Megatron, Scarlett Johansson as Elita-1, Keegan-Michael Key as Bumblebee, Steve Buscemi, Laurence Fishburne and Jon Hamm rounding out the star-studded lineup. The film is currently in theatres.
