A total of twenty-three (23) cholera cases and one death were recorded within ten month in Oyo State. Oyo State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Oluwasherimi Ajetumobi who disclosed this on Tuesday said these cases were reported between January 1 to October 7, 2024.

Ajetumobi explained that the only death recorded was a patient brought from Lagos. She added that nine other patients currently on admission at the Infectious Disease Center, Olodo in Ibadan were responding to treatment and will soon be discharged. The Commissioner who disclosed this while briefing newsmen at the Governor’s Office, Secretariat, Ibadan at the end of the weekly executive council meeting, also said a request for approval of the sum of N 210, 243.
