This remarkable attraction in China invites travelers from around the globe to marvel at the vast beauty of the country from high above. Known as the Tianti, or “Sky Ladder,” this awe-inspiring feature is nestled on Mount Qixing within Zhangjiajie Nature Park, located in Hunan Province in southwestern China.

As reported by Chinese state media, this extraordinary structure spans an impressive 551 feet, connecting two cliffs at an astounding elevation of 5,000 feet. Adventurous climbers can tackle the ascent, dubbed the “staircase to heaven,” using steel handrails, footholds, tethers, and cables. This daring route follows the via ferrata style, an Italian term that translates to “iron path.



” This exhilarating attraction draws over 1,200 visitors every day, according to the state-run media outlet CCTV. Its immense popularity once even led to a rare “traffic jam” high above the ground. Although the journey into the sky isn’t suited for everyone, even the most adventurous often find it a challenging experience.
