Monday, September 9, 2024 China Eastern Airlines has introduced its innovative Eastern E-Services at Shanghai Pudong International Airport, designed to enhance travel experiences for international passengers, streamline baggage handling, and improve connectivity within the Yangtze River Delta region. The newly unveiled services include E-boarding passes, E-transfers, Eastern 24H-transfer, E-heart service, Efficient declaration, Easy pass, and E-arrival cards. These features create a smooth, paperless journey from booking and check-in to baggage drop-off and customs clearance, making the travel process faster and more convenient for passengers.

Travelers arriving in China on China Eastern Airlines flights through Shanghai Pudong International Airport can now effortlessly access electronic boarding passes via the airline’s mobile app. Additionally, they benefit from convenient services like online customs declaration and submitting entry cards during the flight. A standout offering is the online transit information submission service, available to foreign travelers eligible for 24-hour or 144-hour visa-free transits.



This service drastically reduces the time spent on entry procedures, ensuring a more efficient entry process for visitors to China. To enhance convenience further, China Eastern Airlines has extended its domestic check-in counter hours at Shanghai Pudong International Airport until midnight, providing round-the-clock check-in services for domestic passengers. In terms of baggage services, China Eastern Airlines has introduced a Special Baggage Drop-off feature through its app, along with dedicated counters at 15 key airports across the country.

These counters offer specialized handling for high-value and special baggage, as well as additional baggage allowance services. Moreover, the airline has launched a “bus + air” combined transportation service in cities like Suzhou, Kunshan, Hangzhou, Wuxi, and Jiaxing in the Yangtze River Delta. This service provides passengers with greater travel flexibility, allowing free ticket changes within the region for eligible flights operated by China Eastern Airlines and Shanghai Airlines.
