A child has been taken to hospital after a road traffic collision this afternoon. Emergency services were called Rishton Lane in Great Lever this afternoon, August 13. The road was shut off as paramedics attended to the child.

Police and paramedics were on scene (Image: Public) An eyewitness said: "Ambulances, a helicopter and multiple police vehicles are in attendance. "The air ambulance landed, four Bee Network buses were unable to carry on and were left stranded as police had closed road off the road on either side of the Texaco Garage.
"It looks like it has reopened." The eyewitness added that they saw a person on the floor in the middle of the road. We have approached Greater Manchester Police for comment.
