To accommodate the surge in passengers during the Chhath Puja season, the Indian Railways has decided to extend the duration of Delhi to Patna special Vande Bharat train. It was announced to run from New Delhi till November 20 and from Patna till November 21. According to the recent update, the special train, which is Vande Bharat Express number 02252, will also run on November 22, 24, 24, and 29.

Similarly, train number 02251, operating from Patna Junction to New Delhi, was initially scheduled until November 21, 2024. However, now, the operations have been extended until November 30, 2024. The additional dates for this train are November 23, 25, 28, and 30, 2024.



For the ticket fares, the Vande Bharat Express offers chair car seating only, with no sleeper class available. Ticket prices range from Rs 2,575 for an AC chair car to Rs 4,655 for an executive chair car. Both options come with amenities like tea, breakfast, and dinner.

Stretching across approximately 994 kilometres, this is India’s longest Vande Bharat Express, offering passengers a fast, comfortable, and luxurious travel option across multiple states. From New Delhi to Patna, this covers the distance in 11 hours and 35 minutes. Other trains, like the Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express, take 11 hours and 55 minutes, while the New Delhi-Rajendra Nagar Tejas Rajdhani covers the same route in 11 hours and 30 minutes.
