Chelsea fans celebrated their club's scouting as Samu Omorodion scored two goals in a 3-3 draw against Manchester United. The Blues were heavily linked with the striker in the summer but a move from Atletico Madrid to west London collapsed . A £36million deal for Omorodion was negotiated by Chelsea alongside Atletico's pursuit of midfielder Conor Gallagher.
Before the transfer failed to materialise, some questions were raised over the Premier League's side interest as the forward had little top flight experience. Omorodion went on to sign for Portuguese side Porto and has since been an excellent addition, with his performance on Thursday night a fine example.
