A travel show featuring former Love Island star Dani Dyer and her soap star father Danny Dyer, which saw them journeying across Italy, has been cancelled after just one season. The duo filmed the four-part E4 series, Absolutely Dyer: Danny and Dani Do Italy, last year and were reportedly considering their options for a sequel. However, Channel 4 has decided not to renew the show for a second series, shattering those plans.
"Danny and Dani loved filming the Italy series, they had a laugh and it was great bonding time," an insider revealed to The Sun newspaper's TV Biz column. "They discussed doing more, even exploring regions in the UK, which would have been cheaper to make. But Channel 4 have decided once is enough and they won't be back for more.
" Despite the travel show reaching its conclusion, the source hinted that the pair might have other projects in the pipeline. "Danny and Dani are still really well thought of as a telly duo, as shown on Celebrity Gogglebox, so they might return in a different guise on the channel," they suggested. The travel show had resonated with fans, with one viewer expressing his admiration for the "exceptional" programme on X, formerly Twitter.
"Have you seen Danny Dyer on tour in Italy? Exceptional viewing," he penned, adding: "You won't regret it," reports the Daily Star . "Danny Dyer having a travel show with his daughter in Italy is something I never thought I'd see but probably need to watch," another quipped when the first season was annou.
