MTV star Lilah Parsons had revealed a surprising new career change after going to university in her thirties. The former model, 36, has worked with iconic brands such as Chanel and Vivienne Westwood before making the leap to presenting for channel MTV . In June of this year the presenter completed a master's degree for Television Journalism at City, University of London .

Now it seems she has a taken a turn into a brand new venture altogether when she revealed that she would be delving into the world of news as a broadcast journalist with the BBC . Lilah often posts on X formerly known as Twitter screenshots of her segments on BBC news where she reports on serious world topics. Taking to Instagram the MTV star said: “Still pinching myself to be working as a broadcast journalist.



Going to university & becoming a full time student in my thirties has felt a bit mad at times but also incredibly freeing!” Read More on MTV stars “It’s reminded me how much I enjoy learning & that it’s possible to change paths,” she added. Fans took to the comments to congratulate the newly appointed journalist on her career switch. One user commented: "So very cool Lilah, never too late to change course xxx" "It’s incredible well done you.

Super brave and very exciting," said another. Most read in TV "Your incredible and an example achieve your dreams x" added a third. Previously Lilah could be seen on screens presenting shows such as MTV Essentials, MTV Asks and This Week’s MTV Top 20.

Lilah also tried her hand in Radio in 2016 where she was co-host on Capital Breakfast alongside former boy band member George Shelley and presenter Dave Berry . The radio DJ then moved over to sister station Heart in 2017. But it seems in the end being a Radio DJ wasn't for her and she stepped down in December 2021.

The former model has now stepped away from the limelight as she switches to her brand new career..
