Pune: A team from the Chakan police solved five vehicle theft cases following the arrest of a criminal on record. The police have recovered six stolen motorcycles worth Rs 2 lakh from him. The arrest took place on Friday when assistant inspector Prasanna Jarhad and his team apprehended Vikas Agarkar (32) of Chakan during a routine patrol.

The police then recovered the six other motorcycles that he stole from Chakan area itself. The officials said that Agarkar has nine cases previously registered against him.
