This significant act reaffirmed the University’s spiritual dedication and collective faith, as part of the institution’s history and values Centro Escolar University (CEU) commemorated its 117th Foundation to celebrate the visionaries who founded the institution, the milestones achieved over the years, and the contributions made by faculty, staff, students, and alumni. The celebration commenced with a Thanksgiving Mass at the CEU Chapel, presided over by Msgr. Matt Claro Garcia, Episcopal Vicar for Guest Priests, Archdiocese of Manila, and Parish Priest of Sta.

Clara de Montefalco Parish. This solemn ceremony brought together the CEU community in gratitude and reflection. Following the Thanksgiving Mass, the Re-consecration to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus took place at the main lobby.

The morning’s spiritual activities were succeeded by a simple yet meaningful salu-salo and a short program at the Student Activity Center. The short program delighted the Escolarians with the special performances by the CEU Concert Band and the CEU Singers Manila.

The groups provided a musical tribute that highlights the vibrant culture and artistic prowess within the CEU community. Dr. Sofia Magdalena Robles, the overall chairman of the event, ensured the success of the celebration, with Dr.

Carlito Olaer, Vice President for Students Affairs as the consultant. CEU’s 117th Foundation Day is not just a celebration of the institution’s long-standing legacy but also a testament to its commitment to fostering a strong, united, and spiritually grounded community. The day’s events reflect the University’s dedication to honoring its past while looking forward to a promising future.
