The Boston Celtics are targeting December as the month for the return of their star big man, Kristaps Porzingis, per Shams Charania while he was on the Pat McAfee Show . Porzingis wasn’t expected to return until the new year, so this is a welcome surprise for C’s fans. “There was video I was seeing last night of [Porzingis] warming up before the game, he has not progressed to contact yet.

..He looks really, really good.

If this wasn’t a Celtics team that has the best starting lineup in the NBA...

If they didn’t have the luxury of being where they are at right now, they’d be a little more pressed to bring KP back, but they have the luxury of waiting...

It could be January, it could be earlier, but right now, they are targeting that month [December].” Last year for Boston, Porzingis averaged 20 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two blocks per game. He was a key member in the Finals as well, where he dominated in Game 1 to set the precedent for the series.

As for this season, the C’s are already 4-0, and have won all their games pretty easily, with a couple of them being close for a bit, until the Celtics pulled away. From what they’ve shown, Porzingis should take his time healing and come when he is totally ready. Boston proved they will do just fine without him, and when he joins, they’ll become borderline unstoppable.
