It's another derby cup final in Glasgow's south side as Celtic and Rangers B go head to head at The City Stadium - also known to many as Lesser Hampden. Just 48 hours ago the big teams battled it out at the national stadium and played out a thriller as Brendan Rodgers ' men lifted the Premier Sports Cup following a penalty shootout success over Philippe Clement and his troops. The match finished 3-3 and it stayed that way in extra-time with Kasper Schemichel the Hoops hero and Ridvan Yilmaz the Light Blues' sinner at Hampden.
Now, in the shadows of the big ground, the B teams will face off in the rescheduled 2023/24 Glasgow Cup Final. The young Hoops head into the final as the holders having lifted the trophy in memorable fashion at Ibrox in May 2023. Like the senior team, the match went down to spot-kicks with Josh Clarke the hero on the day saving four out of seven penalties to take the trophy back to Glasgow's east end.
Here is hoping we are in for another cracker this evening and you can follow it all right HERE. More from the Rangers B boss Firstly start well and on a real front foot. They are here to win the game and know the expectation and what we want to look like and our structure to have.
But ultimately that won't win the game. It's players who will win the game. It is individual moments, working as a team, playing with purpose and also be really good out of possession.
It's a good group and it does come with expectation to go and perform. David McCallum speaks pre.
