Celeste Madden impresses with new song ‘Joan Of Arc’. The emerging songwriter has signed to Sad Club Records , with memories of her excellent 2020 EP ‘That’s Just Extraordinary’ still lingering’. Lyrically, she touches on a break-up, with the titular character referenced in a tongue-in-cheek fashion – it’s about the way we blow things up in our imagination, allowing emotions to overcome us. Backed by a cute Medieval themed video, ‘Joan Of Arc’ finds the 22-year-old expressing her true emotions. She comments.
.. ‘Joan Of Arc’ is a very melodramatic song – I think partly because I was younger, and partly because it’s impossible to think that the world isn’t ending when you love someone and it doesn’t work out.
