What’s worse than being dumped from Love Island ? Being forced to withdraw on medical grounds from Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins after a boxing match with a Love Islander - requiring immediate surgery. Rugby Union star Chris Robshaw had to undergo an operation after dislocating his shoulder while fighting Love Islander Ovie Soko on the reality series - and was put on a plane within 12 hours of being forced to withdraw on medical grounds before heading straight into surgery. “I had to get an operation,” he winces.

“Because I’d popped my shoulder out the ligament was loose so it becomes like a catch which keeps opening. So they reattached the ligament to keep it in place.” Former England captain Chris was forced to medically withdraw after Ovie “got the better” of the hench star and “completely dazed” him.



“I don’t really remember a lot of the boxing. I tried to throw a punch and basically hyperextended my shoulder and it popped out. “Unfortunately, towards the end of my career, I had some issues with the shoulder and it can come out of the socket,” he explains.

“It was just kind of numbing. It went back in and I went to see the doctor who said it was clear it had come out.” Chris said he felt “huge disappointment” at being forced to exit the show.

“I wasn’t going to quit. I would have just pushed through the course, the way I’ve been brought up in that rugby space, I would have tried to keep going and unfortunately, that would have bee.
