CELEBRITY Masterchef judge Gregg Wallace was left shocked after a show star made a big blunder. The gaffe happened on Monday, and saw 59-year-old Gregg left in disbelief as the four remaining contestants battled it out for a place in the quarter final. The celebs working their magic in the kitchen included actresses Danielle Harold and Rochenda Sandall, comedian Eshaan Akbar and athlete and gladiator Harry Aikines-Aryeetey.

And it was Harry who had all eyes on him as he made a blunder that surprised Gregg. The celebrities were set three challenges, and it was during the first task, titled Paris Challenge, where Harry fell short. Harry made a kitchen faux-pas as he failed to close the oven door fully while attempting to make Rochenda’s samosas.

Now it's touch and go whether they'll cook or not.” But Harry managed to save his near cooking fail and pleased both Gregg and John with the dish he presented.

Gregg told him: “I think they look brilliant, I'm really impressed,” with John adding: “You've done remarkably well here, they do look very similar.” Most read in TV They were sure to bring up the oven door mistake though, and told Harry: “Slight overcooking on the lamb. Not enough cookery on your samosa - you didn't shut the oven door.

” Harry, Rochenda and Danielle were able to head through to the quarter-finals, but Eshaan was unfortunately sent home. And it was perhaps for the best than Eshaan was the one to go, after being accused of nearly killing Gregg Wallace twice after serving raw chicken on two occasions. The comedian was horrified when he first failed to cook chicken liver properly – and in the same day served up another very undercooked meal.

Trying the second dish, Gregg remarked: "We are a little bit pink in here, which is such a shame because your flavours are magnificent." Eshaan moaned afterwards: “I can’t believe I gave Gregg Wallace undercooked chicken twice in one day, that is going to haunt me forever.” Those watching at home were very amused by it, particularly because it still wasn’t enough for him to be sent home over Chloe .

One person commented: “Eshaan almost killed Gregg twice His reward, a place in the next round. Beautiful scenes.” A second remarked: “That’s twice now Eshaan has almost poisoned Gregg.

Put him through to the next round ASAP.” And a third added: #CelebrityMasterChef Ishan gets two dishes underdone..
