Hey Zoey by Sarah Crossan. Crossan is one of my favourite authors — she writes in verse and her work is beautiful. I always read it with a lump in my throat.

The Time Traveler’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. It is a beautifully moving love story, dark and complex and intelligent. As soon as I finished I wanted to go back to the start and read it again because it had so many layers.



I was asked to write a novel that was a reimagining of Emma , for a series of works by authors celebrating Jane Austen. I started reading it to see if I connected to it and I didn’t get very far. My inspiration comes quickly and my response is fast —.
