Jacks went on to thank a long list of current and former donors, employees and residents for rallying around the project. Jacks specifically acknowledged supporters such as Lisa Fox Martin, chair of the Thomas Cole National Historic Site Board of Trustees; Stephen Shadley, the designer of the new center and a renowned New York City-based interior and architectural designer who is also a member of the board; Lt. Gov.
Antonio Delgado; and state Dormitory Authority of the State President & Chief Executive Officer Robert J. Rodriguez. "The goal of this new building at the Thomas Cole Site is to enable visitors to find meaning and inspiration in Thomas Cole’s life and work," Jacks said.
