Pune: The Hadapsar police are searching for a casual worker (38) suspected of killing his wife, Arati (35), by hitting her with a blunt object and banging her head against a wall in their Tukaidarshan home. After the incident, which occurred during the night between Friday and Saturday, he fled with their five-year-old son, according to police. Originally from West Bengal, the couple had moved to Pune for work about five years ago and rented a house in Tukaidarshan.
Their landlord, Dattatray Choudhari (55), filed a complaint about the incident. Assistant Inspector Vilas Sutar told TOI, "The couple were having some domestic issues and would frequently argue over the same. On the night of the incident too, they had an argument following which Arati's husband assaulted her with a blunt object and banged her head against a wall.
She had injuries all over her body.".
