In response to the state government’s decision to launch a comprehensive survey assessing the socio-economic and caste details of Telangana’s population, district officials have begun preparations for the caste census, set to commence on November 6. Trained enumerators have been pasting stickers on identified houses, and the household survey will be conducted in gram panchayats and municipalities across the districts. The enumerators will collect individual details of family members and the head of each family, while supervisors will randomly cross-check 10 percent of the collected household data to ensure accuracy.
