Casio has unveiled a new limited edition NASA-themed G-Shock watch, but you'll have to win a contest if you want to buy it. The new GW6900NASA24-1 is part of Casio's ongoing celebration of the first ever G-Shock watch, which went on sale 50 years ago. As Casio fan site explains, this particular model is based on the GW-6900 design, which dates back to 2009.

It's been a little while since we've seen a new celestial G-Shock (the last one was , with a color scheme inspired by diffuse nebulae). The GW6900NASA24-1 is less flashy, with a black case and bezel that borrow their simple looks from the company's line of calculators. Decoration comes in the form of a white NASA logo on the face, a backlight graphic displaying Newton's law of gravitation, and the same equation engraved on the case back.



"With space exploration relying on the principles of physics and mathematics, Casio's commitment to accurate timekeeping and advanced engineering mirror those endeavors," says Casio.
